It?s here! It?s here!
No, it?s not quite Christmas yet, I have to keep telling my kids.
It?s Oh So Savvy Mom?s Holiday Gift Guide!!!
Our first gift review is from a company I?ve long admired. ?Back in the day, before I was married and had kids, I was kind of a shoe snob. ??Shoe snob?, didn?t know there was such a phrase, did ya?
Back then I had chronic back pain so I was always on the hunt for stylish, yet comfortably designed shoes. ?I preferred that the shoe be made with natural materials when possible; they just look better that way.
Now that I have kids, I look for the same things when looking for shoes for them. ?Finding shoes that fit these standards is not always an easy task, but there are a few brands who can always be counted on to provide comfort, quality, and sheer cuteness!
See Kai Run is one such brand. ?I?ve been a fan of See Kai Run since my oldest was a little tot. ?See Kai Run was born out of a mother?s quest to find functional, quality shoes for her little boy. ?Here is her story:
Who Is Kai??
Kai is the son of founders Cause Haun and Chen Gang.?
He?s also the inspiration behind See Kai Run.?A Shoe Story?
See Kai Run? is the idea of Seattle mom, Cause Haun. In 2004, she was on a quest for the perfect first shoe for her son, Kai. Unable to find shoes in fun, sophisticated styles that were suitable for outdoor play and still promoted the healthy development of little feet, she created her own line of shoes that satisfied all these needs.
See Kai Run can now be found both online and in stores with sizes ranging from 0-6 months?See Kai?s ?Smaller? line?up to size 13 in kids?See Kai?s ?Kai? line. ?Here are some of my See Kai Run boys shoes (err, you can see my preference for neutral tones reflected in this collage )?
Here are some of my favorites from the girls line?
All of See Kai Run shoes meet the American Podiatric Medical Association?s rigorous standards for foot health and functionality and have been awarded the?APMA?s prestigious Seal of Acceptance.
For our review we picked out ?Fox? from the See Kai Run line.
Can I just say that I?m in love with these shoes! ?So is Little Brother. ?The night the shoes arrived Little Brother tore open the box and insisted he wear the shoes right then! ?He wore the shoes all night and was so disappointed when we told him he couldn?t wear them to bed.
Here are some of the product features for this shoe:
- Handcrafted from butter-soft leather
- Flexible rubber sole?- healthy for developing feet but sturdy enough for outdoor play!
- Generous width and wide toe box for plenty of wiggle room!
- Padded collars for extra comfort
- Adjustable hook and loop closures make shoes easy to get on and ensure a great fit
- Breathable leather insole and lining
When they say ?butter-soft leather? they aren?t kidding. ?These shoes are so soft and feel like they?d be so comfy for little feet. ?I want some in my size!
I love how versatile these and most of the See Kai Run shoes are! ?These can be worn with jeans, shorts (if you do it right), and dressy clothes. ?Right now these are Little Brother?s Sunday shoes for church, but he?ll be wearing them on more occasions once the weather cools off here. ?With the quality with which See Kai Run shoes are made, I?m imagining these will make it through Little Brother and then the new baby when he?s old enough.
?The color in these pictures is slightly darker than the shoes actually are.
